Can anyone help me figure out why Adobe Flash keeps crashing?

I have Adobe flash CS3 and I have been using it for about 4 months now quite often. I have several projects in the works right now and all of a sudden I can't compile anything anymore. Whenever I publish preview or publish it brings up the standard "sorry for the inconvenience but flash now has to close". Every time without fail. I have tried to repair it and I even un-installed and re-installed it but it does the exact same thing. also tried a registry fixer but didn't help.
Has anyone had this problem before? How do I fix it? Any suggestions/help is appreciated.
I'm pretty sure that it's not a virus. I am quite vigilant of my processes, startup programs and connections. In fact I'm quite paranoid often about computer privacy and information safety.
