DNS problem please help!?

I had a problem with my Internet overnight, it just stopped working. I'm using a wireless router and thinking it was broke I went and got a new one but I have the same problem. I receive the wireless connection but can't get the Internet working. I get a message saying DNS server may be down and there's a problem with its configuration. I've checked answers on here and I've flushed DNS, checked to make sure I get automatic ip settings etc but nothing works. Its happened with both routers so either a setting has changed on my laptop or the ISP DNS is down but I would doubt that. Please help, I can't even play online mario kart now! Doh thanks

DNS errors happen for 2 reasons
1) most common: that when you inter sites it gives info some positive some negative the negative sometimes effect the connection of the website & sometimes the whole connection.
go to CMD & type "ipconfig/flushdns"
then type "renew"

if that doesn't help then go to reason 2

reason 2) happens alot but not common:
sometimes your modem gets over heated by over use so it needs some rest. Or buy a new modem that can handel over uses.

First I would reboot your cable/dsl modem to see if it is hung up on something.

When this happened to me it was because my ISP changed DNS servers. Call you ISP and see what settings you should set on your router.
