some mounth ago i installed a ubuntu linux by xp in my PC and now i want to delete it and chage linux format to NTFS , i tried with 'partition magic' but i couldnt and now xp doesnt know linux format , please help me.

Your linux partition is most likely ext2 or ext3. You should have been able to delete the partition using partion magic. There is another utility called Gparted and you can google it and download it. That should remove your linux partition.
