ASP page can't connect to MS Access Database running on local IIS XP...

...machine I get the following error.... Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '(unknown)'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.

I have set up the odbc on the local machine
The database is not open at all

The error message means that the access database is already open. Have you got it open in Access on any computers?

Close Access and refresh the ASP page.
