Lotus and Microsoft are two different manufacturers of software though they have become more and more alike in recent years so if you know one inside out, you can adapt to the other easily. With regard to SQL, you need firstly to walk before you can run and suggest you get to know Access inside out first, i.e. designing a fully relational database which has sql behind the queries, much like html is behind web design these days without your needing to know the actual progamming language. So learn MS Office inside out, all programs, especially Database, and then try to find a course on SQL but I believe it is quite hard to find and expensive.
