Can't connect to the internet...?
Can't connect to the internet...? So...I might have completely boned myself due to my impatience...but, here goes:
I believe the problem stems from a Microsoft download that didn't take on my PC...I uninstalled it, but since that took forever and I'm basically a child, I just shut my PC down without waiting for it to finish. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Since Sunday I have been unable to connect to the internet. I contacted Comcast and did "everything that's in my notebook" And still no dice. I've done numerous system restores, but since "there have been no new updates" those didn't take either. I've tested the modem and router, pinged, shut off my firewalls, etc. Does anyone have any advice to me besides letting Geek Squad take all my money, or just buying a Mac Laptop (also taking all my money). Even any helpful forum to post on would be appreciated. If I haven't given enough information, let me know and I'll try to elaborate as much as I'm able to (keep in mind I'm not exactly Johnny-on-the-spot when it comes to fixing my PC problems)
