...permission? I set up a network between my laptop and my PC. I only want to share files between the two.
To do this i put the files in the shared documents folder and then look at it on the other computer.

No no one can see what is in your folder even you have shared it with permisons.

Because through internet only the person can see the files who know the password of you admin.
Even then you need to forward a port to internet to make your folder accessable.
and You hasn't created a vpn with other pc.

If the other person tries to hack your pc then you can just put the firewall on then even the hacking chances are least.

If someone establishes a backdoor on the ports of your computer and you're surfing the Internet with administrator rights then they will have access to your whole system and could even lock you out of files on your own PC
