Can a PostgreSQL table span multiple disk partitions?
I need to install PostgreSQL on a Linux machine with a 500GB disk. Facilities at our university has asked that it be partitioned into 100GB partitions to make backups easier. Is it possible to have a single postgresql table stored across multiple partitions? I've seen in the PostgreSQL documentation that you can specify the disk location of a tablespace with:
Linear Mode
