In Excel, how can I force it to update the CodeName property of a new sheet

without the Visual Basic Editor? In Excel 2003 The CodeName property of a new sheet appears to be blank until the Visual Basic editor is opened. This is a problem for a program I am writing because it wants to use the CodeName property for new sheets without the user having to have the Visual Basic editor open, and without having to check the "Trust Access to Visual Basic project" tab of the security settings. I found a solution, but unfortunately it is unacceptable because it requires the Trust Access to VB Project option to be selected. Please help if you can! Thanks very much.

Tim, thanks for your answer. I agree with you when you say the sheet name should be used instead of the CodeName, although not for the reason you state. The CodeName can be changed in runtime but only if the user has enabled "Trust Access to the Visual Basic Project" via the Macro / Security options of Excel.
