Slow Start Up on my computer ,using Windows Vista?

When I start up my computer it take approx 25 mins to open the desk top. I checked and found 20 programes running in startup, how many are essential in Start up without compromising my computer or security?

You can adjust how many programes to run on start up. You do not say what type of computer you are using. Vista takes a lot of ram space, so if your com has not enough ram then it will slow down . But first get rid of so many start up programes, then see how it go,s.

25 mins? i think its too long ..maybe you have to fomat your pc..or try to remove some of the progams listed on automatic execution,and try to get all windows vista upgrades....
