system help in windows 2000 & xp?

hi people and i need help....

my windows 2000 wont start up.. it says some thing about cant access boot device.. i was wondering how i can fix this problem .. plz help

i also have windows xp and if is on the same computer as my windows 2000 but the difference is that when i installed windows xp.. it all worked fine but it didnt have the windows 200 stuff on it even though there have the same hard drive?

eg. the local area connection thing for internet..word documents .. some games etc.

i was wondering u some 1 can help me with both problems

and tell me how to get the local area connection thing onto my comp
