...best answer. 10 POINTS? I installed Ubuntu Linux with the Grub bootloader, in a dual b oot with Windows XP. My harddrive is messed up and I have to delete the Ubuntu partition which contains the grub files. I need to switch my bootloader back to the Windows XP bootloader. REALLY IMPORTANT. FIRST ANSWER THAT WORKS GETS BEST ANSWER
I currently have the Grub bootloader, but I need to delete my Linux partition so Grub wont work. I dont have the windows xp install cd, but I can boot windows xp.

Assuming you have the windows xp installation disk boot the machine with the disk in, press a key to start from the disk and choose the command console repair option. When you get to the command prompt type "fixmbr" (no quotes) and try rebooting without the disc.
