XML Question!!?

Have an exam in a couple of weeks and i was just wondering if anyone could help me with the following question! thanks!

Show how the data representing information on a person eg name, address date of birth, marital status etc might be represented in XML. Show 3 different ways this might be respresented in a case where data items such as thet marital status are missing. Explain how these caompare to a relational solution
